Dr. Randy Walker
Dr. Randy Walker is the director of Sun Lakes Animal Clinic, having joined our staff in 1990. Dr. Walker is a 1985 graduate of the Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing in Arizona for 29 years. Dr. Walker’s varied and extensive experience in veterinary medicine includes everything from solo practice (“just me and Jan!”) to extremely fast-paced emergency medicine to working alongside 20 other veterinarians under one roof in a large general practice and specialty referral center.
Dr. Walker’s interest in veterinary medicine dates back to an early age when he helped doctor everything from orphan kittens to stray dogs to chickens to cattle and horses on the 600 acre Oklahoma cattle ranch he grew up on. In addition to his DVM degree, Dr. Walker also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a minor in chemistry from Oklahoma State University.
Dr. Walker is an active member of the American Animal Hospital Association, the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association, the Arizona Academy of Veterinary Practice and the American Veterinary Medical Association. His areas of special interest are small animal internal medicine and routine surgery. In addition to his extended family of over 2,500 canine and feline patients he’s grown attached to over the last decade and a half while practicing here in the Sun Lakes/Chandler region.
